Fletcher / Snyder Reunion - (photo 1892 -1893)

David Fletcher DayvidA@aol.com has kindly sent another extremely interesting photo from his collection.
It raises a number of questions:

Where was this photo taken?? What exactly was the occasion? Members of both the Fletcher and Snyder families of Monroe Twp. are present in the picture, and the large
number of people present would seem to indicate a family reunion.

In order to study these individuals in better detail, the picture has been divided into two parts,
enlarged, and shown below.

The following will be a description of those people David has identified:

The lady in the back row at the extreme left is: Mary Fletcher,
a daughter of Daniel & Susannah Barkman / Fletcher, Mary never married.

The lady third from the left in the back row is Emma Mills / Shearer born June 1869, daughter of Frederick Mills and wife of Walter Shearer. Emma's mother Caroline Fletcher / Mills is also present.
(on the right side portion).

The fifth person from the left in the back row is: Baltzer Snyder, son of John Fletcher Snyder and Barbara Ellen Mearkle, born March 22, 1874.

The fourth person from the left is Baltzer's brother Owen Snyder, born August 26, 1875

The small boy at the extreme right of the front row is Cecil Orville Snyder, son of Baltzer & Elizabeth Pee / Snyder. Since Cecil was born August 16, 1890, the picture can be dated to about 1892-1893.

The tall man standing in the back row, second from the right, is Baltzer Snyder born June 21, 1850
(Elizabeth Pee / Snyder's husband).

The man to the right of Baltzer is his brother John Fletcher Snyder born September 18, 1843, John's wife was Barbara Ellen Mearkle.

The man with the white beard, fourth from the right in the back row is another brother, David Snyder born July 09, 1840. David was a Civil War Veteran of Co. D., 138th PA. Vol. Inf. and later married Jane Rice.
( Does anyone know who Jane Rice's parent's are)?

The second lady from the right in the third row from the back is Caroline Fletcher / Mills, born June 26, 1823, wife of Frederick Mills and youngest daughter of John Fletcher.

David Barkman, born October 12, 1844 has a beard, is wearing a dark suit jacket, and is sitting with a group of his children in the front. David married Caroline Snyder (Baltzer Snyder's sister) on April 26, 1873.

As you can easily tell, there are many people in this picture who are unidentified. This picture may be one that has been widely distributed to family descendants, due to the many, and diverse, people involved in the picture.
